Jewelry Care

I strive to make high quality and durable jewelry, and it takes a little bit of effort on your part to keep them like that.

Turquoise is a soft stone, which means it is prone to change color with repetitive exposure to the elements over a period of time. There are simple steps you can do to take care of your jewelry.

  • Take your jewelry off before swimming, bathing, washing dishes, hot tubbing, etc.
  • When not wearing, store in a dry place
  • Avoid hard blows to the face of the stone (stone will crack)
  • Avoid hard tugs on chains for necklaces
  • Jewelry can be polished with a polishing cloth (I recommend pro-polish pads)
  • If needed, your jewelry can be cleaned with a soft-bristle tooth brush, lukewarm water and mild soap to remove excess buildup
  • Do not use jewelry cleaner or harsh chemicals on your jewelry - some of my pieces come with a darkened patina and jewelry cleaners can remove this as well as potentially damage stones
